I won't lie . . . I still miss RibSticks. BUT, the people here have done such a great job with this place, that it is hard to be mad.
Okay where do I even start? Some of the "cons" -- this is a smaller fast casual restaurant. So, you can't bring you and your 10 best friends here if it is packed. There is quite a bit of room for people to stay and eat, however, if it is busy, don't expect to be able to seat a large party.
Thats literally the cons. . .
The pros - now this may take a little longer.
1) The interior is literally perfect. It's more rustic, but that doesn't stop it from having its own charm.
2) The service is AMAZING! For being a fast casual, they still BRING THE FOOD TO YOU! You don't have to do this awkward dance of "do I stand here. No, I'll go get a seat. But my food is done". NO. You go get a seat and the food comes to you. The people there are as sweet as can be as well; they will walk you through the menu.
3) THE FOOD. Oh. My. God. It is AMAZING. It all tastes homemade; everything is SO fresh. My fiance loves literally everything on their menu. I am a huge fan of their hot chicken sandwich. The quality of the meats are superb, and to be honest, it was one of the best chicken sandwiches I have had in a while.
When I tell you that this "no frills" restaurant has all the frills when it comes to food, service, and just overall vibe. 6/5 if I could -- PLEASE TRY THIS OUT! -

Small parking lot in front.
Nice people working.
Clean.
Food was good.
The matzo ball soup was very good!
The chicken sandwich (#4 I think) I would ask for extra sauce next time!
The brisket sandwich (#1 on menu) was ok. It wasn't great. It was tender, I just was wanting more flavor. -

West Siders! Believe you me when I tell you this place is worth the trip to the East side! I had just finished watching a Bon Appetit video on YouTube where they go to a local NYC deli and try everything on the menu. And then I spent the next few days thinking about delis and how much I wanted a proper brisket sandwich.
Enter Lox, Stock, and Brisket, a place I've had on my to-try list for ages, but alas the trip alllll the wayyy to the East Side (which to be fair, is not all that far, but it's an area I rarely venture to). I got so hyped even just looking at the menu and pictures on Yelp, however I was disappointed to find their hours are so limited, especially because we were hoping to grab dinner here before a show at Severance Hall on a Friday night. They are closed for dinner every day of the week, but fortunately they are open Saturday and Sunday. I'm not quite sure why they close at 4pm every day, I do realize it can be costly to keep the doors open all day, but why stay open until 4? Most lunch places close around 2pm. In any case, it was worth the Saturday trip. I think the gentleman taking our order could see the drool on my chin as I glazed over the menu. He was super kind and patient with us, and I could tell he was just as excited as I was for is to try the food. I wanted to dive in and try everything, but instead my husband I decided to split the Lincoln Park and the Upper East Side sandwiches, as well as a bowl of matzo. My husband isn't much of a sandwich guy (rice for him all day, every day!) But he was crazy impressed with the Lincoln Park, which is a chicken sandwich served on a challah roll with a slaw and some delicious aioli sauce. To call this chicken schnitzel I think is reaching as schnitzel is usually pounded very thin, whereas the chicken in this sandwich was perfectly balanced between the thickness of the meat and the breading. Many chicken sandwiches are overwhelmed by breading, but l think the balance in this one is really what sets it apart. If you come here and just want to try one thing, I think this is the thing to get. The Upper East Side, a brisket sandwich served fairly traditionally on rye with mustard and lightly pickled dill cucumbers, was also a winner though. I personally got the mustard on the side, but this sandwich was also carefully layered. The cucumbers had a fresh dill flavor which was a great balance to the smoky and hearty brisket. The matzo wasn't bad, but it isn't something I'd order again as with the sandwiches. It didn't have that uber schmaltzy-chickeny flavor I crave in matzo, although the matzo was nicely springy and spongy.
I'm dying to come back here and try their bagel and lox, as well as pretty much everything else on the menu. It will be really hard to top those two sandwiches I tried, but I really appreciated how this place is an elevated version of a deli that keeps the integrity of all the flavors. LS&B isn't trying to reinvent or add any crazy items to the classics, but they are elevating it in a way that makes it accessible and playful at the same time. I do wish of course that they had a version on the West Side, however, given that they recently closed up another venture in Ohio City Galley for reasons of being spread too thin between the two businesses, I can appreciate that they are really putting their heart into this restaurant, care into the food, and not trying to expand to the point where they inevitably lose that integrity. Long live lox and brisket! -

Planning to visit again when back in CLE!
Was in the University Circle area during a brief visit to the city and ventured up Cedar hill for a quick lunch. The pics of the sandwiches looked good online so we decide to give it a try.
I was a bit indecisive on selecting a sandwich but the person at the counter helped me select the #1 Upper East Side. Because it was my first time, they strongly suggested the brisket over the turkey.
Look, I've finally kicked my CLE corned beef craving after moving out of state. Then, I discover this spot! The #1 had a mild pastrami taste but assembled like a classic corned beef sandwich. (Rye, pickles, mustard).
The meat was served still steaming hot. The pickles were mild and I believe made onsite or at-least not mass produced. The mustard wasn't overpowering.
The side selections were potato salad or coleslaw. The salad being just ok. But, I probably could have done without a side.
I recommend a cream soda with this sandwich.
Inside dinning is casual but plenty. -

I stopped in for a quick lunch while in the area and I am so happy I did. When you walk in you will notice 2 chalkboards; the breakfast menu on one and the lunch menu on the other (they also have printed menus if you need one). I ordered the Lincoln Park sandwich and it was ahhmazing. The chicken was juicy and crispy while the slaw, pickles, and hot sauce aioli complimented the sandwich. I chose the potato salad for my side, it was just ok. I got to try the upper east side with cured and smoked brisket and it too was very delicious.
The ambiance was nice and casual, the food was amazing, and the staff here were very welcoming and nice. There were so many options I can't to visit again soon to try all the other selections on the menu.
